jadedfrost:
She blinked a few times, not sure if she believed Yrra.
“Does this mean I live here?” She asks, looking around the apartment. Having a live outside of the facility just didn’t seem possible.
Yrra smiled at Jade’s wonder, glad that the girl seemed to be warming up to her. ”Yes it does. All of the things in here, they’re yours.”
jadedfrost:
She knew what a friend was in theory but…
“I don’t see how that is possible.” She said before biting her lip, realizing that might of been rude. “The older part, I mean.”
It was odd, how different Jade had been as a little girl. Or at least, this is what Yrra assumed she was like. She was so…insecure. And shy. ”Well, lots of strange things happen in this world. You…” Yrra wasn’t really sure what to say. She didn’t want to upset Jade. “You switched places. With the older Jade. Briefly.” Hopefully that made enough sense.
jadedfrost:
loveisfatality replied to your post: Yrra paused for a moment, realizing suddenly what Jade meant. She crouched down to Jade’s eye level. She smiled, even though she was still fairly upset at the situation. “I assure you, this is no test. The people at the facility-they’re not here.” she paused, letting Jade process the information. “Do you know who I am?”
“I do.” Yrra said, reaching out to stroke Jade’s hair. The girl shied away, and Yrra held up her hand. “You can trust me. Laira and I are friends. Good friends. So are you and I, actually.”
Her eyes go wide at the physical contact, not expecting it to be gentle. She fights the urge to pull away, surprised to find it comforting.
“But I don’t know you.” She whispers, afraid that the admission will make Yrra leave.
Yrra expects that answer, but it’s still a bit off-putting. She supposes that she wanted Jade to retain her memories, but whatever happened didn’t just give her the body of a child, but the mind of one as well. ”I’m friends with the older you, Jade. Best friends.”
jadedfrost:
When Yrra pulled away, a million things went through her head as she wondered if she had done something wrong or if Yrra was going to tell her that they shouldn’t do this. Something about that second thought really hurt her in a way she couldn’t explain. She was about to ask when Yrra kissed her again almost more forcefully. She allowed Yrra to take control of the kiss, closing her eyes as Yrra pulled her closer although she still felt a reservation in the way Yrra held her.
“I trust you.” Jade whispered against her lips.
Yrra could feel Jade smiling against her, and the words spoken seemed to echo in her head over and over. Trust. Certainly, she trusted Jade. But should Jade trust her? She stroked Jade’s hair for a moment, simply enjoying the feeling of holding the other girl in her arms. ”I’ve always trusted you,” Yrra whispered, catching a brown lock between her fingers, “it means a lot to me that you trust me too.”
For a moment, she let Jade cuddle with her. Yrra could be a tender lover, but right now she wanted to just…test it. See how far Jade was comfortable with. Not to pressure her, or anything, but Yrra figured it would be a good way to see where she could and couldn’t go at the moment. Yrra smiled at Jade before pulling back, Jade looked confused right up until the moment that Yrra pressed her on her back. Yrra went in for another kiss, this time trying to use her tongue to get Jade’s mouth to open. Jade yielded, slightly, and Yrra wasn’t sure if it was because she didn’t want to kiss like that or if she wasn’t confident about kissing. Yrra pressed her hands into Jade’s shoulders, pinning her to the sand. She leaned down to whisper “let me know what’s too far, and I’ll stop,” before she began to kiss down the lines of Jade’s throat.
jadedfrost:
Jade looks up at Yrra as the other woman took her hand in hers. She squeezed back even as she looked down again, unsure of exactly what Yrra would do next. What was happening now was something she really had no experience with and she wasn’t sure how to answer that question. It was true that she had felt a connection with Yrra since meeting her but it had grown so much since they had met, more than she would have imagined. She felt her heart race as Yrra’s other hand lifted her face so she looked back at her.
Then Yrra came in closed and kissed her. Jade initially tensed before relaxing almost instantly, almost melting into it. Yrra’s lips were pleasantly warm against hers, sending a small shiver up her spine as she let go of of Yrra’s hand to put her arms around her neck.
How many kisses had Jade said she’d experienced? Yrra wondered. Two, maybe. Not that this was a bad kiss. It was great, actually. But Jade kissed with this…innocence that made Yrra feel entirely guilty for her lack thereof. She pulled away, wondering for a moment where this relationship was going to go. She didn’t want to hurt Jade, but as far as those things went, she didn’t necessarily have the best track record. And this was strange to her, debating a kiss. Because normally when she wanted something like this, she went for it. But this was so different. Because Jade wasn’t a fling, she was…Yrra’s best friend, actually.
Jade seemed to be looking at Yrra’s face for answers in a way that was making her feel a little uneasy. And she really, really didn’t want Jade to see that. Because Jade would blame herself. Yrra leaned in and kissed her again, this time pushing forward a little more. She ran one hand through Jade’s hair, securing it at the crook of her neck. The other hand pressed against the small of Jade’s back, which Yrra used as an anchor to move closer. She wouldn’t hurt Jade. She couldn’t.
jadedfrost:
“I know it sounds crazy but I’m kind of in over my head with this supernatural stuff. This is Bo’s world, she deals with the supernatural all the time and helps people.” Jade replied, trying to read Yrra’s expression as she talked. Was she actually jealous of Bo? Yrra wrapped her in a hug and she tried to sort through her own feelings as she returned it.
“I’m worried about this too.” She admitted quietly as she felt Yrra’s heartbeat against her cheek. “There is nothing going on between me and Bo. It’s not like it is with you.” She blurts out before she can stop herself. She feels herself panic and pull away.
“I’m sorry- I shouldn’t- that wasn’t appropriate.” She said, hugging herself as she turned away.
Without thinking, Yrra reaches out for Jade’s hand again, watching the girl unravel once more. ”You don’t ever have to hide your feelings from me, Jade,” Yrra said, quietly, her eyes locking with Jade’s. She gave the other girl’s hand a squeeze. Jade broke eye contact again. Yrra knew that Jade was a little uncomfortable, but moved in towards the girl anyway.
Jade hadn’t let go of Yrra’s hand, which Yrra took as a sign that yes, part of Jade was deeply connected to her. ”There’s always been something more with us, hasn’t there?” Yrra asked her friend. Using free hand, she cupped the side of Jade’s face, turning it towards her own. She smiled softly. Jade caught her eyes once more, and a small smile tugged at her lips. Yrra took that as her cue. She closed the gap between them, placing her mouth over Jade’s.
